fish and wildlife told me to spray suntan lotion on their belly's which will cause them to pass out right away and then put them in the freezer. Apparently somebody tried to cut one in half and the toxic stuff got in his eye and blinded him for two days. Not sure I want to be known for the idiot who got messed up by a toad, ha a shark, alligator or something big but please toad don't take me down!!! haha
you want them get hold of me here: www.copoutfishing.com or www.copoutoutdooradventures.com
My female cane toad was really fast and ate more than my african bullfrog when they were the same size. Trust me you will be spending a fortune trying to fill it up each feeding if it's a girl.
Find it sad that uninformed, careless, or irresponsible humans introduce plants and animals into areas they are not naturally found at. Then when this creates an ecological disaster, the human answer is (in the case of Cane Toads) to spray them and freeze them. Wonder what we will do to ourselves when this planet's resources become scarce and can't support us all
.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Yes but the majority of the people in the world are too stupid to realise or just don't care. Imagine what the world would be like if humans weren't around, no pollution, no wars, no deforestation, no extinctions but all we can think is OMG THAT TOAD IS SLIGHTLY DISRUPTING A SMALL SCALE ECOSYSTEM, WE MUST NOW DESTROY IT EVEN THOUGH ITS OUR FAULT FOR INTRODUCING IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.
haha you know that no one will take fault its all the toads fault. this mentality makes me sick. people care more about their way of life much more then they care about any species of animal let alone a little toad. dont even get me started on ocean life. i am just happy to find a community that really does care. at least there is the slightest bit of hope out there.

My soon to be sister-in-law lives in Florida. She finds cane toads and Cuban tree frogs in and around her house all the time. I think with the Cubans that you are not allowed to release them back into the wild if you catch them. I don't know about with the cane toads. But we have been trying to find laws about both. Because if legal, she might bring us some when she comes to visit.
Anyone know if that is legal or where I can get the info?
