Well, I imagine you heard plenty of this, but you made a commitment to that animal when you bought her. She depends on you for everything, and just being realistic; the chances of an animal that someone could get for $20 at any petstore in the country finding a good home are almost zero.

I hope you decide to keep her, and hopefully do more research for any future pets. Reptiles and amphibians almost never behave the way you expect them to, and you have to be prepared for a difficult and potentially antisocial animal.
