Congrats Lynn ! Do both parents care for the egg?
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

    Thank you , Carlos

    The tad :
This is - only- my 2nd R imitator tad. ( just gave a juvenile to Heatheranne on Frog Day )
There have been other eggs. ( some that were not fertilized ? or unable to be sustained) It's ok ---what ever happens , happens.

Currently there are 4 or 5 additional eggs in their tank ( fingers crossed ) . The one in the video and 3 or 4 additional ones in a film canister.
They are VERY busy this AM too I can hear them calling form way up-stairs at my computer!

I have only witnessed the female doing most of the guarding and keeping the egg moist.
(although the male is not far way )

I have witnessed only the males transporting the tad to water after they hatch.

I stated using Repashy ( vit A ) monthly for all my adult PDFs-- Maybe it's helping!

This little tad went through quite a bit.
The egg was deposited on the glass.
It is sooooo tempting to 'rescue; it.
It slid all the way down to the substrate!
They continued to take really good care of it.
    They are very dedicated parents.

I realized it was about to hatch, then noticed the egg sack was broken and the male went missing for 2 days !!!!!
Then - surprise- this cute little tad appeared in the film canister.

I will be removing it in a few days to rear it outside the tank!
I will leave the others for the imis to raise as I don't want to keep removing their offspring

    I had a good teacher
