Pretty much any of the native tree frogs would work for you. I've had Hyla chrysoscelis and Hyla cinerea which are both fun to watch, but they are nocturnal, so really only active after the sun goes down. No special lighting needed, but some of the natives like it a little more humid and temps a little warmer. No matter which frog you choose, just do tons of research and have your viv set up and growing for a few months before you acquire your frog. What ever one you choose, I'm sure you'll be happy with.

As for letting it grow I am AWFUL with plants so I will be using silk. My neighbor had a baby grey for a few days ... Super cute little one. I already have to mist my sal, Adding another animal to mist is no big deal .
