How to transport?

Hey everyone
It's been awhile!

Was hoping I could get some advice on how to transport my frogs during a move.
I'm moving from Alabama to Houston, Tx, and need to know how to properly pack Keroro & tree frogs for the trek.
It's only an 8 hour drive, so I'm hoping not to stress them too too much.

If anyone has experience with this, please let me know how it went for you & how you did it.

If the drive is eight hours you may need something like a small critter keeper
with an artificial plant and paper towel for tree frogs. and is Keroro an African
bullfrog? you can probably keep him in a ventilated plastic tub for the drive.

Yes, Keroro is a GABF.

Would I need a heat source or anything for them since they'll be traveling in the car with me?

Unless move is in Winter, would not worry over a heat source with your travel route. Use your car AC/Heater to keep temps within the frog's range, avoid drafts by keeping windows closed, and do not park a shut down vehicle with frogs inside. If doing trip with a rest stop, would make plans to supply frogs with the environment they need. Good luck; Houston is not bad; but myself prefer the San Antonio area !

I will be sure to keep this in mind. If we make any stops for food etc, I'll stay in the car with them. I would hate for them to get too hot.
I've never been to San Antonio, but I'll have to look into it sometime once I get back on my feet.
Technically I'm moving to Katy. Fiance is going to basic so I'm moving back in with my parents while he's away. Thankfully they're letting me keep all the critters I've acquired, except for my T's haha.

San Antonio is very nice on Winter, once went barhopping with friends along the river using available boats for transportation and had a blast. What branch of service did fiance joined and did you found a home for the T's?

that is how i do it. I have a climate controlled box, made out of big styrofoam box, + ducktaped heat cable on a walls that is attached into thermostat. also I have a digital thermometer/hydrometer attached, probe inside, display outside, so i can check on things without opening a lid and messing out with climate. i take this box into a car and plug into car adapter, i believe it is called inverter. for humidity i just spray it and check the readings, usually for 8 h drive if not to open a lid, one or 2 of good sprays is more then enough.

then i pack animals in whatever smallest size KK i can or appropriate size plastic bin with holes for ventilation. then, assuming animals need about same temps/humidity, i pack them into my box, take it to the car and have no worries about anything. oh and you need to make sure nothing is gonna shift inside, so i put some fillers inside if needed and make sure the box is as steady as can be in a car itself.

if you put animals in a KK directly into the car without anything else, AC going on, doors opening and closing, ability to see around, it all stressed them out and you can"t ensure correct temps and humidity, chances are nothing will happen, but I personally had too many things going on to take any risk chances. and say if somewhere you stay in a hotel you just unplug the box and take it inside and plug it into the wall, and in am you take it back to the car and plug it in.
