Okay, not a hurry issue, I don't have any yet and it may be a long time before I get them but I can't find a complete list so here goes.
Feeders I know should work:
Fruit flies
Springtails
Pinhead crickets (me personal last choice)
Things I think might work:
Baby Dubia roaches
Baby dwarf white isopods
Confused flour beetle larva
I know how to gutt load some of them.
Fruit flies add carotene and vitamins to the media.
Roaches feed carotene rich foods.
Not sure on the isopods or confused flour beetle larva short of dusting them of course.
So does anyone have any suggestion for feeding Fire belly toadlets?
Well, you pretty much covered the question already . Start with FF & Springtails, then on to pinheads, and increase food size as they grow to match distance between froglet eyes. Do dust FF and crickets with CA 2X and vitamins 1X weekly on different days with skip day in between, good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
So how big are these tropical springtails? The ones I have naturally around here are right at 1mm in size, maybe slightly larger if they are newly fed in my worm cultures. I have read that they can be up to 5mm or even almost a cm but nothing on specific species that get what size. I tried a couple scientific journals about them and was so confused by the time I got to anything useful I forgot what why I was looking.
