I bought this juvenile 19 weeks ago from a guy on craigslist when it was just a very tiny froglet. The guy I purchased from said that the parents are "blue". I sought info on it and was told the color is normal in baby froglets and it will change with age. This frog still has the teal/cyan color to it months later, has peach toe pads and is only getting more beautiful with age. Could I have something here or is this normal?
What a beautiful frog!
Coloration can vary amongst frogs. I don't know that the blue morph is recognized as a distinct thing right now, but you have the living proof in front of you that you do have something special. It's really just simple artificial selection--imagine what you could do if you found a mate for that frog with the same or more distinct coloration! Make it happen, you truly do have something special!![]()
Its a nice coloration but unfortunately thats not a blue morph sorry =(.
