I'm sorry to hear you have lost your frog, it is a terrible to go trough and so sad.

After they die ( unassisted ) they will stretch their legs out. I have not witnessed this;
but embers have taught me this as this is often how the frog's position is described when found.
I doubt , very much, he died from falling/jumping?
Sadly, sometimes they have an illness we are unaware of.

If you are up to it, we can try to help determine what might have happened?
You could cut , past and answer the questions from trouble in the enclosure which might reveal some answers?
