Gingerbread is in the smallest critter keeper on the market. Makes it hard to have a water dish with a decent hiding place. Whats the recommended SVL to move her to a larger critter keeper.
It really depends on a frog. I moved mine when they're about 2" to 12x12 exo Terra's.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
I'm going to wait to move her for a while. We still have a few health issues to iron out. I bought the smallest plant possible at petco today for some more security. That plus her water dish take up most of her room. Ill get a good measurement of her soon.
Here she is.![]()
What is Gingerbreads SVL Dan? My babies are about to be moved to curvers, because they are outgrowing the waterdish.
It also doesn't hurt to be a bit creative, for temporary setups, I don't use terrariums and to save space, I picked up these small plastic containers. They are 6.1" to 3.9" and I simply will put a rock in one of the corners, for easy acces. I've also noticed most frogs I own don't use the ledges provided by the dish, they simply hop in and out over the sides.
Ill try and get a SVL today, but i would say 1.25-1.50 inches give or take. She tries to eat everything that moves, I'm probably going to get bit agian lol. She is good in the current critter keeper. Only thing is that the water dish takes up half her enclosure, and decorations take up the other half. I have the next size critter keeper already.
S/he looks so good Dan!
Hypnotic, oh yeah, plastics bins all the way! Just got like 20 new ones from ikea for my baby geckos a few days ago, cos I run out. Gonna be cutting, gluing, drilling today, oh excitement lol
they're wonderful, just right size, see through, stackable and cheap! The best past you don't need to wrestle with a lid like KK.
I found myself drifting towards home organization section every time I'm in any bigger store lol and I found absolutely wonderful one to place my little tarantula in. Yay!
Dan you have another size of KK but still you might want to check your local stores for nice plastic bins that you can DIY into a nice little enclosures![]()

Can you guys post a pic to give me an idea plz? I think I like the bin idea better.
Yeah Dan, Lija is absolutely correct. You will also get off a whole lot cheaper. The plastic curvers I buy are about 3$ each, and that's for 35x35x40.
I just couldn't miss that one lol

Ok cool thanks ill look at walmart and see what all they have. Hey Lija does that frogs legs reach the ground? I think it may be too fat to move anymore.
Lol that is how he sleeps, he uses his vocal sac as a pillow, very funny dude, lazy as hell too

About 5,5" long and close to it across lol

No way, she doesn't like geckos? Dan you take her somewhere show or store where you can hold a crested gecko. I'm telling you once you have it on your hand and look in these eyes you're done! Lol![]()

Nice setup Lija! I actually got the same idea a while ago, I realised all my different sizes terrariums were taking up way too much space and decided to start working with a rack and curvers. It's a lot cheaper, easyer to clean and space and heat can be optimally used. It's also alot easyer to work and looks better! Great looking setups!
