I have a newly metamorphosed leopard tadpole who doesnt bother with the algae pellets ive been feeding it anymore, so my question is at this stage of development what's the best diet to give it? Right now its roughly 4 inches long, its tail is about half its length, and yesterday it made its first voyage above the water to test out its new limbs. They seem to work fine, it hopped half the length of the tank when i was taking a closer look at the guy!...gotta remember to approach the tank slowly next time
Ive read that around this part of life it might not eat anything for a day or two but to continue to try to feed it. Well its bored of pellets i can tell that much. Ive also heard to use pinhead crikets but i cant find any locally so i have to order some online but that could take a couple days. In the meantime could I be able to feed it fruit flies?
If it got it's four limbs and is absorbing tail; would not try to feed it until tail is gone. Once that happens, can feed FFs and Pinheads. Do remember to dust food with supplements, specially during it's growing stage. Good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Really dont feed it anything?? OK Carlos ill trust your judgement lol. btw congrats on ur Mod title
Sounds like terrible advice not to feed a froglet.. poor little things. In reality, while absorbing tail they nourish from it. Be ready with lot's of food when it finishes because froglets become eating machines then
.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
ok thanks for the advice
