Definitely have the tank all set up and ready to go with dechlorinated everything. I would open up the frog and put it directly into the water dish for a bit of a soak and then walk away and leave it alone at least for the first 24 hours. Then it will know where the water is. I would see what the others say about how long before trying to feed it.

Open box carefully in a dim lighted room. Do not handle frog upon arrival. If interested in pics, measuring, or weighting; do it while frog is in shipping container. By placing the same container in the enclosure you can let the frog out on it's terms. Leave frog alone for 2 days to let it settle down and then can try to feed it. Good luck !

I follow the same routine for every frog I get, whether it was shipped or I picked it up. When it arrives I immediately soak it in lukewarm dechlorinated water with unflavored pedialyte. This rehydrates them, gives them a little boost, and washes off anything bad. (After spending the night in a small container and being moved around, they almost always end up with some urine/feces on them.) This also gives me a chance to inspect the frog for any injuries or signs of illness and to take a few quick pictures.

Definitely have the enclosure set up and ready prior to the frog arriving. After the bath, I put the frog in its new home and let it be. I try to keep any disturbance to a minimum. The most I'll do is spray if it needs it. I leave it alone until feeding time. Since priority shipments should arrive by 10am, this gives the frog several hours to rest and settle in. Then I offer food. I know a lot of people say to wait, but in my opinion it is important to get the frog off to a good start as soon as possible. Most of the time you are not going to have any idea how long it has been since the frog ate. And I like to get them on our feeding schedule as soon as possible. This is the method I have used for every single one of the 23 Pacs I have kept and I have never had any issues. Of the 23, all but one of the took food on the first night. The remaining one only wanted crickets as it turned out. As soon as I offered it crickets the next night he ate.

Yes, it can take them a few days to adjust to their new environment, but I still think food should be offered every day right away particularly for babies.

The most important thing is to keep stress and handling to a minimum and your frog should settle in without issue. Good Luck!

Thanks for all the advice, it is a baby so I would feed it within the first two days at least. I'll try to get pictures up.
