Hi,
I'm not sure what kind of handling you are thinking about?
Handling should ONLY happen if absolutely necessary.
They will not become tame. They are afraid of us.
They think they are going to be squished or eaten
Handling will - always - cause them to become stressed.

If it is necessary to handle a red eye tree frog; use powerless vinyl gloves ( not latex)
If gloves are not available, wash and RINSE your hands first. Dampen your hands with their de-chlorinated soaking water prior to touching the frog as our dry skin can damage their fragile skin.
Be sure to cup your other hand over the frog; an uncontrolled ( startled ) leap is a common cause of injury.

Wash your hands when you are done.
