Well, the hot summer has lead to none of the places around here having any Pacs in stock since spring. Needless to say, this has been quite sad for me and my frog addiction. Not surprising though that the moment someone FINALLY got a Pacman in it somehow ended up riding home with me! We got this cute little baby last weekend. (Sorry for the late post!) She is a fearless little beast. (Guessing the gender, of course.) She let us know her opinion of us on the way home by leaving a BIG present even though it is only a ten minute drive. She seemed quite proud of herself actually.
Here is the little cutie. You can already tell she is going to be a dark brown.
Killing me with cuteness!
Exploring her new home.
She ate 11 small crickets her first night, mostly from tongs. She has continued to eat a ton every night and takes from tongs without issue. It has only been a week and she has already grown!
Hi Colleen/Jerrod! Congrats, it's super cute with those big black eyes! Breaking out the Christmas dishes already ?
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
Aww so cute. I was just thinking the same thing about those big puppy eyes..or big froglet eyes? Awesome frog hope it lives a healthy life.(well obviously it will because its owned by Grif)
Very cute baby welli! Her eyes remind me of Puss in the boots from the Shrek movies lol.
Lol nialR35, you are so right. The little one has adorable eyes! It seems to be new frog day today. Must be the moon or something.
Well, it has been a month now since this baby joined our frog family. She is doing very well! She tried to eat anything that moves. Yesterday when I changed her water, she tried to bite my finger then she tried to bite her waterdish. Then she looked at me quite disapprovingly as if to say, "Quit messing around in my home if you aren't bringing me food!"
Most of her green color is gone, replaced by brown and tan. She'll probably continue to darken. Here are a couple quick shots. (She would not sit still long enough for me to get any more.)
Interesting how they change colours, so you have another always hungry monster? Lol
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
I have one that is simply horrible, he doesn't even wait for me to offer the food, he just leaps at my tweezers mid air. After eating a pinky wich was nearly his size length wise, I was sure he was full the next day, but no.
Two silkworms and 2 crickets later, he was full and today, 7 crickets again. I haven't ever seen one of my frogs eat as much as this one.
I'm curious Grif, how many horned frogs do you two own now?
