Thread: Enclosure size?

  1. #1

    Default Enclosure size?

Right now I have my Monster in a medium kritter keeper(which is actually a bit small for him now!)
Im getting a rack system for my skinks and wondered if he would be ok in a 24X18X12 exo terra? He isnt full gwn yet(hes probably the size of the palm of my hand, a womans hand, not a man haha)
I tong feed him worms and dubias. So he dosnt have to go around the full tank hunting, so he will have no trouble in that area

What is the current size snout to vent (SVL) of you Pacman Amber? Using hands as comparison to measure an animal has a large margin of error. BTW; I'm glad you are a girl... a man named Amber would have serious challenges through life !

At 2.5 in. SVL think it's still too small for ExoTerra's Medium Low. Could move it into a 12x12x12 in. ExoTerra or around 5 gal. tank, if need to upgrade. Few members are using the ExoTerra Small Low (18x18x12 in.) for adult Pacmans and it should work well when it reaches 3-3.5 in., unless you have a very rare high jumping Pacman frog .

How big is your present box? Think this one is good for your Pacman's size: http://www.amazon.com/Exo-Terra-Breeding-Box-Medium .

I use the Exo Terra 18x18x12 for my Ornate and it's way more than enough. They always sit in one place at a time anyway so you should be fine with this for the rest of your frog's life even if you end up with a female(which are larger). Now for my pyxie....it's a different story...lol

I knew my exo terra would be good for the rest of his or her life. I was just wondering if it was big enough to go into it now. I guess ill have to wait until it is inch bigger!
