Often times, ACFs seem quite lethargic floating just below the surface. This is normal as long as there are no other signs of disease or injury. If your frog displays any of these symptoms, your frog may be sick:

1) Buoyancy problems - float on surface and reluctant to dive; tap on side of aquarium, this will send vibrations that the frogs easily detect. If they dive or dart for cover, your frog is OK.

2) Swim upside down, in circles or full body tilt.

3) Large amount of skin shed

4) Cloudy eyes

5) Unusual coloration or bruises/cuts

Remember: preventing disease and injury is far easier than treating. Proper water chemistry is mandatory. Keep the frogs at the proper temperature and water clean.
