    Default Hello Everyone

Hi everyone my name is Eric, I live in Cleveland, Ohio and I have a red eyed tree frog that I've had for roughly 5 months. I purchased her from a local breeder named Mike Novy. I have her in a custom 50 gallon high tank that I set up with a false floor and waterfall, but I just moved her to a smaller tank because I've been having some issues with her not eating because all of the small places the crickets can hide or get in the water and drown. If anyone can give some help or tips I would really appreciate it and i hope to meet some local frog enthusiasts in the Cleveland area. Thank you for reading this and I'm glad to be apart of this forum

Hello and welcome to FF Eric! Have you tried using a glass feeding bowl? Small ones at dollar stores that are about 2 in. high work fine in keeping the cricket or roach feeders inside. Just wipe clean after use because dust from supplements can eventually coat them sides and then crickets will be able to climb out. Good luck !
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Welcome! I'm sure we all know how you feel, those crickets can be really annoying buggers! I've build 2 backgrounds so far, had to demolish both because of them. I'd love to see them tear up my new creation. polyurethane foam.My crested gecko unfortunately doesn't eat from a bowl.

    Default Hello Everyone

    Welcome Eric .

Mentat has the easiest fix for you...the amazing glass bowl trick! It has worked wonders for all of my tree frogs and for my day gecko.

Mike is a great breeder and very nice to do business with. Did you see his albinos?

I am in Erie. Not too far. Sometime in the next few months we'll be coming to the Cleveland show to meet up with Mike and John.

I had her in a cricket container with several crickets for several hours and she didn't acknowledge them whatsoever, now I have her in there with mealworms and again she's not paying attention to them and they're right in front of her face. I can really use some help, I'm really worried
