Awhile ago I posted about turning a guitar into a viv but that idea was shortly forgotten about as I realized how much work I was looking at doing for my first ever build. So I took advantage of the Petco dollar per gallon sale and bought a 20 gallon tank. The project was put on the backburner because I got excited and had some extra money and bought a 10 gallon for some fish. Now that has settled I got to work on my vivarium. I don't really have any interesting step by step pictures because every so often I would get flustered since I had no idea what I was doing. But here's the "finished" product:
I need to make one more stop to pick out a few plants. Suggestions on this would be great! I plan on keeping one or two White's Tree Frogs in there once it's totally done.
So what do you think? Any advice/comments on things I should change or anything are greatly appreciated! One thing i completely forgot about was removing the water from the bottom, which is why that pipe is just right in the front hahah. I was gonna cover it with a vine of some sort maybe.
A few questions I have:
Will the sphagnum moss grow like that just laying on the background?
Will plants actually grow being planted in the substrate, which seems to be just wood mulch?
It looks great. The plants will probably grow but I'm not sure that the moss will. The background is fake right?
Yes, just foam with coco fiber. I had some extra so i threw it there for some fun haha
