    Default I'm new

Hello frog forum, I'm new to ff and the hobby of keeping frogs. I currently am the proud owner of two 1 1/2 inch long whites tree frogs which I keep in an 18x18x18 terrarium. I also have a vacant ten gallon long tank that once housed my fire bellied newts. I was hoping to get a frog to put in the ten gallon tank and was looking for suggestions on which species to get. They would preferably be good with beginners

I keep my American greens in a ten gallon long. They love it and are doing really well. American greens are not expensive, but they are extremely hardy frogs. They're a beautiful green color that changes from dark to almost yellow, and have a signature white, yellow, or gold band down their sides that descends from the corner of their mouths. The females get to about 2 inches long and the males a little smaller than that. The males call loudly. All the time. So I would think about that if youre keeping them next to bedrooms. My female is really calm and easy to handle and doesn't leap all over the place when she's out of the cage. They get pleasantly plump and are really pretty frogs. I would definitely suggest them for your next pet! Oh, and welcome to FF!

Hello and welcome to FF! Here is a good read to help you decide on a frog to keep on 10G: Frog Forum - Choosing a Frog .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
