Whites tree frog tank
Hey frog forum, I just got two baby whites tree frogs. I keep them in an 18x18x18 terrarium and I was just wondering if they will eventually need a larger enclosure I also want to know if their toes grow back because one of mine only has one toe on each foot. He can climb just fine so I it's not a big deal but I just wanted to know

Yes, they will soon need a bigger cage. And no, their toes won't grow back. Can you take a pic?

Hello and welcome to FF! Agree with Daniel will need a larger enclosure that is at least 24 in. tall. Here is a care article with lots of info on them: Frog Forum - White's Tree Frog Care - Litoria caerulea .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!

Well its about 10 months too late but heres a pic of Angus's feet. As you can see he is lacking most if his toes. Anyone think this is genetic? Or was he maybe abused in the store?

Yes, there is one long toe on each foot and then a nub on the outside of the foot and thats it.

Do you know what they had him housed in? Possibly caught on the screen? He looks healthy, as if it hasn't really affected him.

If all 4 feet are the same, I would have to think it's either a genetic or birth defect, possibly caused by issues during morphing.

Its only on his two back legs. I got them both from petco. There were about 25 little babies in a 5 gallon death trap. I noticed during the car ride home but thought i could take care of him. He is DEFINITELY the bolder of the two frogs, but Agnes has been catching up. The toe pad on the one toe he has on each of his back legs are also significantly smaller than his front feet.

There may have been some sort of environmental issue while his hinds were developing. I remember reading an article on dart tad development where conditions had caused poor development in the tads as they morphed. I know it's a different species, but it is a possibility.
