feeding pixie in water dish

I feed my baby in his water dish and it gets a way better response then if I have to coax the crickets and keep worms off the substrate... I know frogs don't drink water so im wondering if its fine for him to get mouth fulls of water with his food? also I noticed when I feed him small crickets he eats for longer but when I give him bigger crickets that might be too big because of the hard exoskeleton, he eats less. is it ok to give baby pixies medium sized crickets?

It's fine for him to get mouths full of water. I like to feed in a water bowl, or separate bowl (when i'm dusting). I would not worry about the exoskeleton of a cricket at all. Medium to even large sized crickets are perfecting fine for him, depending on his size of course.

i was feeding mine only in a water ( nightcrawlers), she wouldn't eat anyhow else, and dusted crickets in between, not sure why but she loves them, catching 3-5 at a time lol, very funny, can easily eat 100 adult crickets at a time and after go eat some worms lol she is a bit over 6" now and last week first time ever ate from tongs !!!! pic update long overdue i know, i know
full mouth of water no big deal. agree with SCF, medium/large are fine, if he goes for them meaning he thinks he can eat that size, no worries here

haha that's all good news to hear. lol he never bit me till I was going to pour more water in his dish and he hoped like 3 times then belly flopped in the water and started biting at nothing and then he saw my finger and bit right on. I never saw him move like that. I guess that's what happens when your gone for a mere 24 hours lol now hes always sitting in the water... waiting.

If you watch closely when the frog gets a mouth full of water it will expell the water out of it's nostrils so little water is swallowed.
