I have a few plants I just got planning to put in my frogs house. Its a Pacific Chorus Frog..
Well one of them I know is a Dumb Cane which I found out is poisonous to my frog (and cats I guess too?) guess that won't be going in...
well here's the other one not sure what it is... if it is poisonous or not?
I'm still waiting on one of my pothos to root/grow more before I put it in,
is the pictures plant safe to add?
Thanks
well, the diffenbachia is only toxic to your frog if it were to ingest it. since frogs are carnivores, there's no problem there. i keep a large diffenbachia in my white's tree frog tank and have never had a problem with it. what most people don't realize is that a large majority of plants that we put in our vivariums are indeed toxic to some extent, and that includes pothos. just as frogs develop toxins on their skin to prevent being eaten, a plant's only defense mechanism to prevent being eaten is toxicity. since frogs don't eat plants, don't be afraid to put a plant in your tank because it is "toxic". the plant in the picture appears to be a selaginella sp. or clubmoss it's actually part of the fern family and will work just fine in your tank. hope that helps.

"tassel fern" (Polystichum polyblepharum) tag says
Ok , that one. They grow big, so you may want to plan for that.

It looks as Selaginella sp.Selaginellas are harmless
