WTF skin - should I be concerned?

I saw this last night on Meshack, & the only reason I saw it was because he was brown. I woke him up, by moving him from his top hiding spot, to the food dish which I'm sure stressed him out, but I also wanted to get a good look at him just to check him over. I do this with all my critters just to make sure nothing looks outta place.

Viv temps 75-85
Humidity 50-60% I look every time I walk past the enclosure which is at least a dozen times a day.
Only new thing is moss substrate (safe for amphibians) to help grow the moss in the tank, but they don't come in contact with that.

He ate like a champ last night, soaked for a bit, and I heard both males calling last night & early this morning so behavior is normal.

I'm just not sure about the spots since this is a new thing for me, and I couldn't find any threads on this that gave a definitive answer to green spots like this.

From reading around forum, these either represent a skin irritation (frogs get better after irritation source is removed); or they are called the "neon green spots of doom" and attributed to a deadly bacteria (unknown source or documentation).

Since your frog is acting healthy; would check what ingredients are in that moss substrate or just remove it; in case Meshack is allergic to it. If that does not help or frog develops health issues a visit to local herp vet or contacting Dr. Frye to get proper meds. Good luck !

Thanks Carlos. No change this morning except he's back to his normal green, but with using a magnifying glass with light I could still see the green spots. I do have a vet that knows frogs, and I'm going to give Meshack 24 hours, if no improvement I'll move forward then.

Great news Gail! I'm starting to think those spots show a skin reaction or condition because usually resolve themselves on healthy individuals in couple days.

Now if a frog is known to be chronically sick (bacterial or fungi pathogen) and then develop the spots shortly before death; can see how some pet owners could think the "Neon Green Spots of Doom" killed their frogs .

I found a thread that mentioned they might be bruises. When I moved him to check him out I didn't let him come to me, I went to him. I had woke him up, and removed him from the hiding shelf and may have unintentionally man-handled him. Lesson learned.
