    Default Excessively bloated frog

I went to clean Laputa's tank today and I noticed she was sitting oddly, like her back legs she couldn't get to her sides and they were pretty spread out. I picked her up off the bottom of the tank and she was so fat, you could say. Fatter than normal! I'm hoping this is just a today thing and she is being dramatic but the way she acted concerns me, especially after the long fight I had with her. I pick her up daily and she climbs on my hands and arms just fine, tonight she tried climbing up my wrist and she kept rolling to the side she was extending. She never legs me touch her legs and today I could stretch them out and put them where I wanted, even when I put her in a water dish because she was too heavy for the leaves she just stayed sprawled out like she didn't care. I don't remember her arms being so see through, they are usually white, but her arms had a bit of clearness to them and when I held her up to a light her entire mid section was see through like it was full of liquid. She's been eating fine and staying hydrated but I'm concerned and I wanted to get some opinions on what it might be...

Here are some before pictures from a few days ago and til now:

Also, she is usually squishy (I'm not saying I squeeze her) but when I poke her sides gently it just feels different...

    Sorry Amy ,
I'm also sorry I missed this post. Poor baby.

See if you can get her to soak. Make sure you do not soak her in distilled water!(it will make her worse)
Has she been eating an pooping? wake during the day ?

Sometimes it could be from a big parasitic load? ( flagellates and lungworms )
There are many strains of micobacteria infections that can cause this.

    She is definitely edematous.
It could be a renal ( kidney ) problem
Sometime frogs can develop kidney failure due to vitamin toxicity, or previous medications.

I hate to say it, but I think it's best to call the vet as soon as you can.

What medication was she treated w/ when she was ill, how long was it used?

She has been eating normally. She's even been letting me hand feed her. Sunday night when I came home she was bloated way past what I've seen. The bottom of her tank was slightly flooded though and she sleeps on the bottom sometimes. My boyfriend forgot to turn the heat lamp on so this never happens but it did Sunday. I scheduled a vet visit for tomorrow just to be safe. I feel so bad for her she can't even move which means she hasn't eaten since Saturday and she eats every night...

Laputa passed this morning. I found her upside down and when I picked her up she started acting lively and seemed to have more energy. I set her in a container for about an hour and I came back and she passed. I'll miss her.
