Well, this will be my 2 thousandth post (until I write the next), so decided it would be proper to dedicated to mini African Bullfrog Duncan! He is doing great and is starting to trust me... a bit .

Yesterday passed by his tank at noon and Duncan sees me from his corner and hops to tank center. Now that he gets my attention... another hope places him in front of tank glass and then he bites the water as if saying something. So I get closer and ask him hungry?

Then he squats down and backs up really fast still squatting down into the rear glass then turns his little rear around and continues backing into his hideout. I'm like chuckling because he never turned around or loose sight of terrible me . Wish had a video of whole thing... super cute frog !

Tried to feed Duncan some of the new Pacman food by ZooMed. The first ball (2 scoops) got licked and ignored. Tried few tricks including rolling it and placing a night crawler on top; but Duncan ignored it. Guess it would help to start frogs on these artificial diets while they are young and more adaptable. Anyone else having similar or different results?

So the next day tried a ball mixed with JurassiGuard (garlic food enhancer) instead of water with same results. Then tried dusting a worm with the powder. Duncan did ate the worms; but from worm's reaction to powder... they did not like it .

How much does Duncan weigh now? I am keeping en eye on your thread as I believe we may have similar "hybrid" GABFs. I am almost certain that my frog is a female.

Along the lines of the frog food, how much does the pacman food make once prepared? (In one can, how much food is there once mixed?)

Hi Garret! I have not weighted Duncan; but was 3 in. SVL when I got him and has filled up quite a bit. Also, it appears has grown some too (0.5 in) since then .

IRT Pacman Food, it comes in plastic squarish container that holds 10 oz. (283 gm.). It includes a small 1 cc scoop and you mix it with 8 drops of water for every scoop. Obviously you use more or less scoops according to frog size, so it's impossible to state "how much food is in there." I used 2 scoops and it made a ball around 1/2 in. in diameter; since the instructions said to make it half the frogs mouth width.
