Default Whites Tree Frog Setup Questiom

I was wondering if it would be ok to take my 2 young WTF's and my 1 firebelly toad and put them together in a 55 gallon tnak. (I know its a bad idea to mix species but was hoping to be able to have a ground dweller with tree top dwellers in a big tank where they can stay out of each others way). I want to get a turtle cliff(with filter inside) and make half the tank water and half land(or more like 40% water 60%land). Please would like some feedback on this before I spend the money on a bigger tank and filter. Would having that much water in the tank be ok for the dumpys? I would love if anyone could post links to other threads about good WTF setups. I really want to upgrade them. They are VERY active and in a 20 gallon tall right now. The toad is in a 10.

I would highly recommend against mixing species especially fire bellied toads and other species..

Whites tree frogs need more height than anything else but they do get on the ground a good bit too they use the entire tank.
They prowl the tank during the night.

I am no expert on Firebelly toads but don't they have a toxin that they release, if so it could be very harmful to the Dumpy's if they come in contact with it. Also I know that my Dumpy's at night after dinner like to soak in the water for a bit, this could cause issues in my opinion if they have to share. Ok one last concern, a full grown WTF could eat a Firebelly toad if the opportunity arose, it is not uncommon for a Whites to eat smaller frogs or anything that is smaller that moves!

OOOOK I really wanted to make a pretty big tank with 40% water on the bottom. I wanted something living on the bottom and something living in the higher portion. I will not do it based on this info. Will dumpys eat feeder fish? Wondering if I can still do the setup and have them benefit from a little water section. Fish in it for them to eat if they would do that. I know mine eat everything and have doubled in size since I bought them not too long ago. If not I will just set up this tank I got them as 100% terrestrial.

They will not eat feeder fish and are fine with a lot of water in their tank. I had 6 white's in this tank until I had to take it down due to a construction flaw http://www.frogforum.net/vivarium-te...aludarium.html

As far as mixing the white's and fbt's aside from the whole toxins in the water issue, which I, personally, am still 'iffy' on, they have different husbandry requirements and wouldn't be suitable tank mates. Now, if you could find a terrestrial frog or toad from the same region, then possibly. But I wouldn't recommend mixing species. This should only be done by expert keepers with years upon years of experience. There is way too much to go wrong and inexperienced keepers can miss theist subtle indication that there is trouble in a mixed enclosure.

Does anyone know of any other species from their region that they would be ok housed with? I may just put them in the 30 gallon though with fish. How many dumpys can u have in a 30? 2?3?

2 adults comfortably. Some would say three, but I would go for comfort and luxury rather than cramped, stressful living conditions. I keep two in a 60 gallon and they are very happy
