    Default Questions about calling.

I've heard many Pacman calls on youtube, but never in person having never actually owned one...or any males frogs that matter. Do males call particularly often outside of rain chambers? Is it audible enough that, if you live in a small house with fairly thin walls and a couple of housemates that it may disturb them at night?

Mine does. It won't keep anyone else awake, but if you're a light sleeper and it stays in your room - it WILL wake you up. Mine likes to croak progressively louder in the mornings. He's essentially my alarm clock on the weekends, as he usually croaks around the same time in the morning. It's not bad, honestly. My baby pyxie is a whole lot louder than he is.

My pac is female, but I have a male WTF that calls quite often. His is loud enough that someone in another room can hear it, but it wouldn't wake them up. But if you're in the same room it will wake you up.

I hear my male call every couple nights. It about 4 or 5 consecutive calls, then he is quiet. I heard him call yesterday early evening too.

It depends on the person and if in light or deep sleep mode. I'm a light sleeper and it would wake me, but not bother me. Insects and frog calls actually help my sleep; but then, I grew up in a tropical island . If house has regular sheet rock walls, think should not cause problems, unless a roommate wants frog out and uses calling for excuse . Hope for a female and problem is solved!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

Mine will croak almost every night. He will squeak twice then straight after the second squeak will do three croaks that sound like ducks quacking. He even does it when the tv is on since he is in my bedroom. I think this is just a coincidence but he seems to croak the most when South Park is on lol.

I don't know, Jack. My American greens LOVE music. Especially the more upbeat stuff. They call like crazy when I play Two Door Cinema Club!

I agree, I have a teenage male pacman that squeaks to futurama and games I play. Sometimes I'l play a youtube video of a male croaking just to get him to reply. I love hearing him croak and can't wait untill his teen squeakyness dissapears. I'm honestly not concerned about waking up from it, I'm known for sleeping through everything, I use 3 alarm clocks just to wake up on time.
