So recently I was helping my uncle build a new garden shed and offcourse, we had to take the old one down. Upon removing the foundation, I made an intresting discovery.
It seems underneath the shed, we had a squatter. A nice fat toad and a heap of snails, empty shells and plenty of live ones. I think we just demolished his paradise, my uncle was in quite the hurry, so I gently chased him away with my hand. I even considerd taking him home, but figured since he was doing so great in the wild, I'd let him enjoy life.
He looked alot like the toad in this picture, only alot darker and alot bigger and fatter.

Beautiful toad. I would be looking for tadpoles in the spring time for some of those.

I think that might actually be a fantastic idea. There is a toad barrier where my uncle lives, a few hundred meters away from his house. So I might go and have a peek next spring.
