A heat source like a dome with a ceramic heat emitter and maybe in combo with a large heat pad can be used to help raise temp from a normal temperature room. If your basement temps drop a lot (what is temp there on worst Winter nights?) because it's and unheated place; it might just be better to move the enclosure from there. Good luck !
the tank has a heating pad under it, right now the temp always maintanes at 80 degrees with it. i was gonna try plasic wrap to see if that can keep heat in (read it could keep himidity in) then if that doesnt work, towels.. first paper then bath towels. all options will be 2 inches away from the light on each side. read that should be enough space for air to come threw. my room door will always be closed. the space heater i use would take 3 hours to warm the room and lasts 10 hours. my mother has already said im not bringing the frog up in the winter. maybe a heat lamp like we use with our chickens will help..if safe idk how hot it can get. the coldest i know it gets at night is 20 degress with some nights getting colder. thought i had a well thought out plan. yes? one of my biggest obstacles in getting a 2nd frog..while it's auguest here (Maine) it can get cold in october so prep now may be a good idea.
