whent to the pet store to get my frog his crickets and a new light bulb for his lamp. the guy helping me said i needed UNVA and UVB lighting. i bought a UVA lightbulb to replace the one that blew in a kit i got..that was suggested by another worker at the pet store so before i spend $50 on a UVB light fixure is it really neccasery? i read in my care she UVB lighting or a ceramic heate which i have.
Sorry meant UVA not UNVA
The store employee is just doing his/her stuff and trying to sell you two bulbs! WTFs are nocturnal and like most frogs (even many diurnals) do not need UVA or UVB. Do remember to give it supplements CA/D3 2X and vitamins 1X weekly on different days with skip day in between. Other than heat bulb, can use a blue or day bulb for observation, or bulbs for plant's if have them. Good luck
!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
