So im currently feeding this sera GmbH - Products - sera raffy P to my ACF , and i was wondering if this food is really alright (the petshop which suggested dont really deal in frogs) , from time to time i feed them earthworms , but i dont know how to breed them so only do that occasionally as a treat .
Didint even know such great forum exists , so as much as good tips for my AFC are appreciated . (for example if artificial plants are ok (they destroy the normal ones ))
That pellet seems geared more towards terrestrial reptiles with a more herbivorous diet. Also it may not do well in water. I would go for a pellet geared more for high protein for aquatic frogs/turtles with a good calciumhosphorus ratio. Reptomin is suitable and many people feed it to their frogs without harm (myself included) but I think Omega One is a higher quality pellet, there are others of course. Best to just read the label and go for high protein and a high C:P ratio (2:1 ratio if possible).
Check out: theTurtleRoom – Commercial Foods: Benefits/Uses, Staples/Supplements
This is geared for terrapins/turtles but it's a really good analysis of many of the commonly sold pellets suitable for aquatic frogs.
i also have this one GAMMARUS , but this one seems strange so i dont use it .
Gammarus are 'Scuds' they are found in freshwater all over, basically small shrimp-like arthropods. If they were live or wet/frozen they would be an excellent food but unfortunately freeze dried foods are nutritionally void and can cause intestinal issues with clawed frogs as well.
Well , ill try to find something from what you suggested , though i dont know if they sell those out here .
