Milk frogs are more commonly captive bred so I would go with them. I don't believe anybody is working with clowns as far as breeding go's I wish they would as I would love to get some (hint Corey)

So I take it WC is not the way to go. Seems like you would only get a clown if it was CB. I'm ok with that but if you could educate me as to why I'd appreciate it. I know the obvious disease issue but if the clown is by itself does it still matter? Any info would really help keep me informed.

Because a CB frog is much more hardy and does not stress out as much in captivity like a WC would. I know a few people (including my self) who gave clown tree frogs a shot and failed. I'm not saying it is imposible just not something I'm willing to try again. If you choose to get some then we will help you out all they way

Second hard decision of the day. I'm willing to get it checked out by a vet and treated for parasites (if i go that route). I like them both a lot. My goal (if i can be patient) is to wait for repticon in october and see if I can get a cheaper setup and maybe find the right frog. Maybe my crested viv can keep me busy until then. haha

Milk frogs are a beginner level tree frog. Clown Tree frogs are not. I have never kept them to be honest. All the people I have talked to have had ZERO success with them. Which is why I havnt tried to work with them at this time. My next species I am going to be breeding is mossy tree frogs and pacmans. =). So this actually is NOT a hard decision. MILK FROGS by far. =)

Glad to hear you decided against mixing species.

Personally, I have to recommend you go with milkies! I have a trio and they are easy to care for and very entertaining to watch. Plus, they get to be a pretty good size and are very colorful

I'm excited. Let's just hope I can be patient. How much you think they will go for at repticon?!?!

Not a clue lol. I've never had the chance to go to a show.

Most of the time when I see them listed online though, they're between $30-$45 each, not including shipping.

I hear animals go for dirt cheap at repticon. Like 20 dollar corn snakes and such. That might be my incentive to wait.
