    Default Newbie to Tree Frogs

    Hi guys,

I'm very new to arboreal species (familiar with Pacmans now, thanks to the guidance I got here) and I got a pair of juvenile White Lipped Tree Frogs coming in Tuesday (got them at a steal, only USD 12 for a pair!)!

So I am wondering, anything in particular I need to look out for? I'm using the white's tree frog care sheet as a baseline. So far I got a 10 gallon tall tank that will serve till my custom 20 gallon tall comes in from the store. Will it do?

A 20 gallon is pretty small for these guys. Any way you can go bigger?

What would be a good cage dimension for a pair for their lifetime? I can call my usual glassworker to make me a custom tank again

So hey, the frogs just arrived! I have two White Lipped Tree Frogs! Currently both are staying in a temporary tank that's 10 gallon tall. I know it's a bit small but gotta make do while the glassworker finishes the 18 x 18 x 24 inch I ordered. Think that should be large enough!

Here's some pics, setup is a 10 gal tall Diy Terrarium. Substrate is spaghnum. I know I need more cover, gonna go out and buy some fake hanging plants for them. And probably a vine for them to sit on also. The bigger of the two has a nasty nose rub. I think she got it during postage. Any ideas how to treat that? She's really skittish. The smaller is more docile and active. Oh, they're unsexed btw, just calling them him and her due to my theory that since females are larger and according to the vendor, both are the same age, so larger should be the lady.

Any idea how to tame them down for handling? My pacman was so much more tolerating.
