So I was at work today and we got our shipment of feeder fish in. I wasn't working but was there because I needed some comets for my turtle. Well my buddy was taking a bit so I decided to go ahead and empty the bags into our tanks. That is when I saw it...the largest tadpole in my life.
This thing is like 5" from mouth to tail and about a 50 cent piece in diameter. I'm pretty sure it's an American bull frog tadpole but the dilemma is this, we either cull it or I could take it home...well I took it home and had two choices put it in with my turtles, which we all know how that would end or stick him with my grey tadpoles. I put him in that tank because the little guys have a ton of places to hide from this Godzilla of a creature.
So it has back legs, I was just wondering can I feed it the flakes that everyone else gets or does he need something else. Also, how long before this thing turns into a frog? He will probably be released once he in done changing or I may give him away. Not sure but any advice is appreciated.
Fish flakes work.
My bullfrog grew very quickly. It was about the same size as yours.
It grew into a frog in about two weeks.
Awesome! Thanks!
You're welcome.
