I have a tree frog (thinking gray due to someone telling me yesterday :-)) that came out of the water and is up on the rock I put in the tadpole tank so they could get out when they need to breathe. It still has a tail that is fairly long, but I'm wondering if it'd be better to put it in the terrarium? I have the humidity right at 70%, have plants, and a waterfall for them. There's one in there currently. Or should I wait a few days for the tail to get smaller?
Would move froglets now to hospital like tank with moist unprinted paper towels for substrate (change daily) and a couple milk jug or similar caps with dechlorinated water. If water is deeper than froglet chin it could be a problem. Handle carefully because froglets are a bit delicate.
For first food can use wingless fruit flies and the smallest pinhead crickets. Both should be dusted with CA/D3 2X and vitamins 1X on different days with skip day in between. For their initial care and needs, please read this article: Frog Forum - Gray Tree Frog Care and Breeding .
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
