Baby salamanders have grown and look nearly ready to leave the water now. I have left floating items at the top of the water so they can climb out on "islands" in case I miss the right time. Unfortunately I am now planning to be away early September for two weeks. This means my plans to move few of them into aquariums inside as originally planned to keep as pets would be messed up. If they are ready to be on land and need someone to come feed them while I am away, that would be a problem as I have nobody that can check on and feed critters here.
I have automatic feeders for all of the fish.
With that in mind, I think I'm going to move all of the salamanders back to the pond where they came from within the next week so they can crawl away in the into the forest or where-ever it these salamanders were going.
