Hmmm the bulb says infrared. But when I turned it on it was purple. This ok?

purple red?????? hm.... never heard of it, but i guess it is ok as long as it is does its job

It looks cool, it barely puts off any light, and there is zero uvb/uva. Ima roll with it for now. In dialing it in now for a perfect 82 degrees

I got some small crickets also. Supposedly thats what Gingerbread was being fed prior to me purchasing. Her temps are stable right now at around 82.5, its hard to dial the dimmer to 82 even. Is that ok? I know babies are more sensitive to temps.

Yay! Got the temps sorted out. Dropped a few calcium coated crickets in Gingerbreads enclosure and now she is hoppin around trying to catch them.

Well boo. Its good she was chasing them around but she ended up not catching any. So tonight for sure. I know she is hungry, and the temps are good. I'm going to offer some nightcrawler first tonight.

Lol!!!! Ummm...... infrared is basically a light wave that are just barely longer than that of red light so it is just barely visible. It really has nothing to do with color because you cannot see actual infrared light waves.

Ah cool thanks. Wasnt really sure about it because it was a purple one. Didnt know it was purple till I turned it on.
