I have been trying to get some pothos for some time, but only find fake stuff. The one time I did find a live plant or cutting for sale it was expensive and although I ordered it (my frogs are worth the expense) the order got cancelled as they had run out of stock.
Does the pothos everyone refers to have another name that I can use to attempt to track some down?
Even if it is just a small cutting or a couple of cuttings I can use to propogate enough for my frogs.
Just a quick update:
After some searching I have found out that pothos is a name mainly used in the USA which is why it wasn't helping me to search for that.
This plant actually has many common names of which pothos and devil's ivy are just a couple. The actual name is EPIPREMNUM AUREUM and when I searched using that instead I was able to come up with several places I could get live plants from and at much more reasonable prices.
So with any luck this will help other people who have had the same problem as me in finding real and not those fake plants.
wish i'd known that when i bought mine i payed about 8 quid for mine with a couple of quid for postage
I found cuttings on ebay for that price which I thought was outrageous.
Armed with the proper name I took a trip to the local DIY store but they had nothing. So I went to my local Garden centre which is usually expensive for the type of plants I want but was able to find one almost a meter tall with the potential to take about 10 cuttings or more for under a tenner. Even taking that many cuttings it would still be a big plant and would hardly notice. I only wanted a small one but this was too much of a bargain (comparitively) to pass up.
i got mine from just air plants
