Nightcrawlers are the best food for these guys hands down.
@danfrog
ahh,ok thxx for the guide everyone!well i guess all has been answered,thx so much
look.... why do you want to make it angry for your own entertainment? that is very VERY wrong! it is a live creature and has a right to be treated with respect.
NEVER do that again, do not handle or do anything to it unless absolutely necessary, frogs are look but not touch pets.
as far as noises go, it is a female it might never produce any, if male it'll start calling at about 3" size.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
ummm i dont think u read it properly..i said I take em out becuase i need to WASH my TANK..so its wrong to take em out?so u want me to wash the tank while he's in it with all the water spraying!?...and which part did i say i do it for entertainment?..i think u need this..here's the link..

frogerz, just so you know rude language and behavior is not being tolerated at this forum, so if i were you i would consider wisely on how do you want to behave here especially towards people who are helping you.
unfortunately based on your post i quoted i got impression on your main concern being that your frog is not "voicing out" despite your try to scare him, there was no need to wash his tank if you got him 3 days ago as you wrote in your initial post. at any rate i apologize IF i misunderstood you and you truly care and respect your frog as live creature and will do your best to make sure he has the best life possible.

so should i feed em mealworm or crickets?cause my nearby petstore only sell mealworm,cricket and guppy other would be fish pellets,turtle pellets.etc....
Do not feed :
mealworms, buffaloworms (too hard shell), no guppies (big risk of parasites), no pellets (seriously, I don't need to explain this), and before you even ask, no mice on a regular basis. Feeding any of the items listed above has a risk of killing your frog.
What can you feed? Nightcrawlers, crickets, locusts, dubia roaches are okay to feed, Nightcrawlers being the best option.
Forget the petshop, find yourself a nice fishing equipment store and go buy nightcrawlers.
You can feed him all of these foods, but make sure that the crickets are no longer than the distance between the frog's eyes or just a little longer. Mealworms can be fed to your frog, but only those that have just molted and are still soft and white. Guppies can be offered, but it is a risk in doing so because most fish carry parasites and disease moreover they are also full of antibiotics which can be harmful to your frog. If the water the Guppies are kept in is very VERY clear then the risk of disease is lower because they are kept in clean conditions.
You may have to order other feeders for your frog online.
I'm also going to jump in here and tell both Frogerz and Lija to keep it civil. Both of you are being slightly confrontational and that in no way can end well. You need to realize that both of you have a language barrier that is obviously causing most of the conflict. You both are misreading each others posts.
Lets calm it down alright.![]()
@frogerz
Just try not to handle your frog unless you REALLY have to. If it ever feels like making a sound, it will. If it turns out to be a male, he will croak every night to the point that it could disturb your sleep and you will wish he never did it at night.
So in other words, don't try to intentionally make it "croak" because these frogs are mostly very quiet unless calling/mating/disturbed. Trust me, eventually you will hear something whether its a male or female.
If you really want to know what its like, just YouTube it lol.
ok,so im going for crickets..when my pac have reach its adult age,can i feed him baby chicks..i have some backyard chicken,there place are clean,and all of em are healthy...because sometimes i wont be home for like a couple of weeks and there no one to take care of it...so u know maybe baby chicks could last longer for my pacs to before it get hungry again...
Do you guys eat those chickens? If yes then I'm assuming they are healthy and in good conditions now.....
Feed chicks? No.
A single baby chick every blue moon as a treat, yes.
BUT all this depends on the size of your frog at full grown size. You must feed something your frog won't have to struggle with to swallow it.
If you won't be home for a couple of weeks like you said above and no one will be able to take care of it......sounds fatal and could lead to death if things go bad such as temps spiking too high, humidity dropping, no food, constipation and so on. I remember reading a user's frog died because his temps went off for 4 hours straight at 95+F and died. Are you sure you meant to say weeks or days?
If your going to leave for a couple weeks at a time you need to appoint a care giver and teach that person how to care for your frog while your gone. Two weeks is a very long time to leave a frog by itself.
so,i have and idea since my tank is quite big...il guess il make a small pond,in the tank with a couple guppy in it..so everytime my pac gets hungry it would head to the mini pond in the tank..hows that?..and put some nightcrawler and crickets in the tank to...il guess i should put more plants in it too..look more like its hometown in the wild..il turn my tank to a mini forest,with alot of space for it to hop,hunt and hide...but right now i only have rock,cave and soil..but for sure il turn it to a forest..hows that?
No guppies in the pond.
Can you post pictures of your enclosure? I think you might need some help with that.
Nothing would be cooler than a self sustaining enclosure. Unfortunately its a lot harder than it seems. Not to mention leaving prey items in the enclosure can be hazardous to your frog.
