    Default Feeding guppies to ACF?

Petsmart sells those guppies with the fancy fins and I want to give my ACFs some live food. Is it ok to feed some guppies to them?

Guppies are fine to feed them but remember that live feeder fish sometimes have parasites in them. I'm not saying they definitely will so its probably fine but fish are more likely than other live feeders. It's not necessary and your frog won't benefit much from a fish but if you just want it to chase something around the tank the by all means go right ahead.

I would advised against this unless you can establish a colony of healthy live bearers and maintain it.

Feeder fish always runs the risk of disease and parasites. Petsmart is probably not the best place to buy feeders because of the shared filtration systems they use (one sick fish can infect every tank in theory).

Why do you want to feed *fancy* guppies to your frog anyways? The problem with fancy guppies is they're heavily inbred and actually pretty prone to disease and tend to be not a hardy species. I would stick to plain old non-fancy ugly guppies, they're hardier and healthier. Mollies are larger and would probably be a better feeder fish for clawed frogs, but you need hard water to keep them correctly, they actually prefer brackish conditions to stay disease free long term.

Honestly, african clawed frogs don't even commonly eat fish in nature, so it's not really an acceptable staple for them. Wild Xenopus feed heavily on small arthropods. They do much better with a high quality pellet, earthworms, and insects, which can be purchased at much lower prices.
