I picked these up at my local store today. Both are by Zoo Med, and they were recommended by the guy at the pet store, but I'm posting here just to make sure. The Reptivite has D3 in it, but the calcium powder does not. Is this alright? I haven't opened either yet in case I got the wrong stuff.
Also, these are the bulbs I'm using to heat/light his cage. I'm using a dimmer with the bulbs to make sure they're not too hot/bright for my future frog. Is the daylight bulb alright? I'm confused by the wording on the package. The side literature makes it seem as if the bulb is just visual light ( no UVA/UVB ), so I feel like I'm safe, but I'd rather post here just to make sure.

I'm new to frogs but I think the vitamins and calcium are fine. I really don't know about the lights.
The black light may not be the way to go. Frogs can see the light and it will make certain insects and objects glow. Could stress the frog. Ifrared is best for night time.
Your daylight bulb is most likely a UVA bulb. This particular bulb is most likely designed to simulate actual sunlight and is plant friendly. Most daylight bulbs are full spectrum though. Does it say anything about that?
Vitamins are fine, but you may want a calcium that already contains Vitamin D3. Fluker's makes a good calcium powder with D3.
The bulb says it's full spectrum. The side of the box says "Fluker's 5.0 UVB and 10.0 UVB Sun Glow Coil Bulbs generate both UV and visible light and should be used in combination with the Fluker's incandescent light bulbs to mimic natural sunlight." This is an incandescent, so the literature on the side makes it sound like only the other bulbs give off UVB. Since this isn't marked as a UVB bulb, I assumed it was just visible light. From doing a google search, others say this light gives off UVA but not UVB. Is UVA alright for a non-albino pacman frog?
I'll take the calcium back and get one with D3. Thanks!
