Would it be worth it to get a filter for my 10 gallon FBT viv? It only holds about one gallon of water, so I feel like it wouldn't be worth it as long as I keep up with water changes. Should I get one, and if so, what kind?
If you don't mind the water changes it's fine. But if you have a small area to place it in tank, one of the flat foam sponge aquarium filters by Lee's (or similar) powered by a small air pump, should house a nice population of ammonia/nitrite reducing bacteria when cycled. Since it take around 30 days for cycling do keep water changes ongoing. Once filter is cycled would need to change around 25-50% water once a week depending on the bio-load. Always rinse the filter by squeezing it in tank water you are removing during water change. Good luck!
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Maybe I can make room for a small sponge filter. How often would I have to do water changes without it?
Without a filter recommend 50% daily with dechlorinated same temp water.

Filter it is!
