1. What kind of frog would be good for a person that has never owned an amphibian? (I would also prefer that this frog is quite active, climbs a lot, and can have another frog with him.)
2. What should I use for the ground in the tank?
3. How many times a day would I need to service the vivarium?
4. I really like how this tank looks. Opinions?
Thanks in advance for taking your time to answer my questions
Hello and welcome to FF ! This article is very good to help you decide on a frog: Frog Forum - Choosing a Frog . After reading it, take a look at White Tree Frogs (active but mostly nocturnal) and Green & Golden Bell Frogs (active and both diurnal/nocturnal). Then decide if they are a pet you would like to get involved with.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
Thank you for linking me to those documents, I really appreciate it. The only problem is that I am not really a big fan of how the white tree frogs and bell frogs look - what would be your opinion on dendrobates leucomelas in a pair?
Fire bellied toads.
