Thanks for the peace of mind friend. I was about to head out and get a replacement but traffic is insane now. So I should just ignore them then??

Also can hornworms / waxworms cause impactions or they are as safe as night crawlers? Just wondering to figure out the right size to feed.

If fed in large quantities yes. Sometimes the sack-like skin of the Hornworm and Waxworm does not digest properly and can remain undigested in the frog's feces. So use them as treats rather than a staple. Though Hornworms are very nutritious they are fatty too. Waxworms are very fatty so use them sparingly.

You should get some dart frogs and feed them the fruit flys. As for hornworms, I believe the only undigestable part are the eyes.

Incorrect. The actual outer skin does not always digest, but yes the eyes remain and actually look like small seed casings.

What I managed to do was once the larvae turned into cocoons, I just flushed them lol. They were impossible to reach so as soon as I see them turning into pods its bye bye. At least the horn worms seem to be thriving, I just hope they are come with fruit flies next time I buy them. Man they are getting big, I think it's about time I fridge them but my frogs seem to go crazy for them.
