Male Dwarfs can reach 7" SVL, but extremely rare. Most of the time yes they are around the same size as female Giants(5" to 5.5" SVL).

lol mine eats a lot too, but 30 nightcrawlers should last her for a week, i think Grifs boy can easily eat that amount per feeding and the next day to beg for some more lol

they are smaller = smaller tank, smaller $ for food, and they are more cute, when you see giant male all i can think of - wow what a monster, when you see dwarf- you think oh he is so cute IMHO

I have 10 giants and when I got my 11th in it was a dwarf. I like them both, now I want more dwarfs!

In general terms they can be roughly the same size. Every now and then you come across the huge GABF female (6 in + SVL) or the huge DABF male (7 in. male). Have also seen tiny cute versions of both, including a full grown 2 year old P. edulis female that does not reach 4 in. SVL .
