Wink New to the website- hi!+ a question

I have recently acquired 5 green tree frogs, and i have had them for nine days. I live in the middle of nowhere, and nobody around knows or wants to talk about frogs with me, so i came on here. just hoping for a warm welcome i guess. My tree frogs are great, eating and calling. i have two females and three males. And i have a question. Will they breed? Just wondering.

    To answer your question.
I don't think so. I think they need a rain chamber and the correct temp and daylight hours to trigger mating.
also I don't know if the frogs have to be cycled to get them to mate either.
I have never kept these and by no means an expert.
The only info I have is what I have read on the wiki page on these guys.

    Again welcome to the forum.

    Hi! Welcome!

Most people don't want to talk about frogs, even if you do live in a larger metropolitan area. Sad, but true. Hey more frogs for us though right.lol

And the frogs won't breed for you without the proper preparations.

The best thing is to join a hero group like the frog forum, ask at your local pet store. not the big ones.

You can find decent people at the bigger pet stores who know their stuff. I've applied to the two big ones numerous times, and have had interesting well informed conversations with employees on a few occasions. It is mostly dog and cat lovers that work those places though.

Hi! Ive got an American Green myself! I love him. He's really friendly and the longer I've had him the more he seems to enjoy being handled. He's actually inspired me to get another tree frog, a whites dumpy, and my friend to start frogging as well! I guess its contagious!
