Default To to soaks or not to do soaks.

Being a new Pack man keeper,
and Following what other keepers have done about regular soaks on a weekly basis.

I have found that since I have been doing weekly soaks that my Pepito enjoys them and
has started to only having a BM during his weekly bath.

I just wonder if this might be a bad practice like humans taking laxatives too often and
    becoming dependent on them?

What are your thoughts on this?

I do it once a month, my girl seems to enjoy it too, When I just bought her, I figured she would go on her own, but after 3 months, no poop. So I decided to do it monthly.

It is fine to soak them once a week. It is like potty traing the frog. They learn that bath time is also bathroom time. Some will still go anytime anywhere. Just depends on the individual frog.

As long as frog does not stress out during soaks; see no problem with it . Fresita hates them, so I put her on a nightcrawler only diet and the constipation problem disappeared.

    Carlos,
Its not that My frog has a problem it is wither or not I am causing a problem by doing a soak every week.
Up until two weeks ago Pepito was on a pure nigh crawler diet and his stool was very loose and very smelly.
So I started him back on his normal staple of dubia roaches and crickets. and his stool is now normal.
but he only does it during the weekly soaks.

So I was worried that he would become dependent on the soaks.
Since I travel so much and some times I am away for a few weeks.
Now my wife will feed him crickets but nothing else. and will not do the soaks.
That is the whole reason I am worried.

There is probably no data on Pacman frogs permanently associating baths (with honey?) to BM. In your case since you travel for weeks; would just revert to feeding only night crawlers during those times. Good luck !

Sorry I wasn't clear to begin with the soaks are just warm treated tap water 80F no honey.
I reserve that for when he hasn't had a bm in a few weeks.

I wouldn't worry much about baths or not bath, yeah they can get used to go only on baths, but guess what if they're not constipated whatever is inside will get out so if it's time a frog will go in his water dish sooner or later, he won't be just sitting around waiting for you to put him in a water.
