Member's location

I love the icon with the flag of the nation but please could the information be a little more specific? When members ask for help or the location of a vendor or supplies, it would be very helpful if they put in the state they live in (and not violate their privacy). I don't know how to designate it in other countries than the US, where I live. Members have many contacts throughout the world but we can't help someone looking for an amphibian or other pet, or a show or store, if we don't know their location.

There is a location field in a member's profile but it's an optional field. I don't feel comfortable making it obligatory, as some people are afraid to give out specific information like that. You've given me an idea though - I will make it so only logged in members can see the location field of others. That should help people feel more comfortable using it.

There you go. The Location field will now be displayed at registration and there is a bold notice with it informing people that it is only visible to members, not just anyone surfing in from the Internet. I've now put in my real location so people can see it - I feel more comfortable having it members only.
