    Hi
I recently got some Hyperolius glandicolor

But there are two oddballs in this group so I am not sure if they are the same species.

Congratulations! I am a little confused. The subject header for this thread say "ID". I was expecting to have to ID a frog, but I see that's not needed. So I am understandably confused.

Maybe they are looking for the vernacular (Common Reed Frog) I hope we answered whatever the question was.

The common name for Hyperolius glandicolor (Peters, 1878) is Peters' reed frog.

My Question was what type are the two oddballs at the bottom? The last pic is the underside of the 3rd to the bottom.

    And I.

I am going to ID it as Hyperolius kivuensis (Ahl, 1931), but without more photos from different angles, I can't say for sure that I am correct. What I have read, in Alan Channing and Kim M. Howell's book Amphibians of East Africa, seems to point to this being the most likely ID.

One is definitely Hyperolius glandicolor. I believe the second to be Hyperolius castaneus, the brown reed frog http://calphotos.berkeley.edu/cgi/im...el-lifeform=ne

You're welcome. I rather enjoy making ID's. Having a few good books and knowing a few decent web sites helps a lot in this endeavor.
