He is 8 inches long
Thought Ameiva was the name of a frog! Nice lizard, reminds me of what we used to call "iguana" in the metropolitan area.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Where is the metropolitan area youre mentioning Virginia Beach or you came to Puerto Rico,or where, because here in Puerto Rico people call them iguana, siguana and lagarto,
I wanna know how you caught it. I've been trying for years to catch a whiptail but they are just way to fast for me lol.
I catch him while he entered the house and entered the bathroom
These are some tips so you can catch your own
surround him and corner it
dig a hole put some crickets in a buckets that they can't climb and put the bucket on the hole,
use a net with a stick
Wait hey enter your house and close the house and go after him
Hi Elizabeth! Was born in P.R. and raised in Caparra Heights near Puerto Nuevo. They were very common in the small mount (formerly a U.S. military facility) behind the Borinquen Towers (talking about the 1960's). Could find P.R. Boas (Epicrates inornatus) in there too. We called them iguanas and the males where pretty large and had a lovely bluish color. When I went to college in Mayaguez, captured an introduced Green Iguana baby and kept it as a pet for a while.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog!
Cool, finally I found someone that lived in Puerto Rico.
