Should I get springtails for my future FBT vivarium? It's only a ten gallon, but I think help cleaning up would be great. I'm probably going to convert to a 20 gallon in the future, possibly by Christmas. Should I get springtails now or wait until I convert?
Might as well get a colony going now.
Will I be able to move the colony if I upgrade to a 20 gallon?
Are you gonna put them in the 10 gallon for now? You can just transfer the soil from the 10 gallon over to the 20 when you're ready.
Yes, that is my intention.
And if you don't want to reuse the soil, you can dump it in water, the springtails will float and you can net them out.
